Angels Heal with Light. Daemons Heal with Truth.
As a healer, cleanser, and psychic medium, I work with many kinds of spirits and entities. One of the most fascinating parts of this work is experiencing how different each type of energy feels. No two beings work the same way. Each has its own presence, purpose, and power.
Some entities, however, get a particularly bad reputation—and daemons are at the top of that list.
Are they powerful? Absolutely.
Should they be approached without protection, preparation, or training? Definitely not.
Should you mock them, challenge them, or try to control them? HELL no.
But are they inherently dangerous?
That’s where things get more nuanced.
First, let’s clear something up right away: daemons and demons are not the same thing. We’ll save demons for another conversation.
The word daemon comes from the Greek daimōn, meaning spirit or guide. In ancient Greek belief, daemons were morally neutral beings. They were understood as forces that could deliver insight, illness, healing, inspiration, and transformation. They were said to govern fate and personal development—and depending on how they were engaged, they could uplift or destroy.
In other words, daemons weren’t “evil.” They were functional.
Like angels, guides, and other spiritual beings, daemons have specific roles and purposes. Some are particularly well-suited for healing, wisdom, and mental health work. Buer, for example, is often associated with healing and knowledge of the body and mind. Lilith—one of my personal favorites—works beautifully with glamour, creativity, autonomy, and deep personal transformation.
To give a clearer comparison: the archangel Raphael is capable of phenomenal healing. Buer, a daemon, is capable of healing as well. I work with both in my healing practices.
The difference lies in how they heal.
Angels like Raphael heal with light. Their energy is calming, supportive, and restorative. Healing often feels gentle, subtle, and reassuring—like being wrapped in something warm and steady.
Daemons like Buer heal with truth—not darkness. Their healing isn’t always calm or comfortable. It’s honest. Sometimes blunt. They don’t just smooth things over; they make you look directly at what’s out of balance. They’ll essentially say, “Look at this. This needs to be addressed.” Then they work with you through the process of correction and change.
Their healing comes through confrontation, disruption, and transformation. It isn’t always gentle—but it is purposeful and ultimately positive.
So, are daemons evil? No.
Are they dangerous? They can be—especially if approached carelessly, disrespectfully, or without understanding.
They aren’t meant to be feared. They’re meant to be respected.
There are many books and resources on daemons, including classic grimoires like The Key of Solomon. If you’re interested in working with daemons, do your research first. Better yet, work with someone experienced who understands how to engage these beings safely and responsibly.
As with any spirit or entity, approach them from a place of respect, preparation, and humility. Respect matters in this work—and when you offer it genuinely, it’s usually returned.
